Toronto FC confirms exhibition against Real Madrid

TORONTO — Toronto FC has confirmed it will host Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid in an exhibition match this summer.

The Major League Soccer club announced on Thursday that the game will take place Aug. 7 at BMO Field, where a temporary grass surface will be installed on top of the existing artificial turf.

Madrid finished runner-up to Barcelona in the Spanish league this season.
