Juventus confirms Ciro Ferrara as coach

TURIN, Italy — Juventus has hired Ciro Ferrara as its coach after he guided the Italian league power for the last two games of the season

Ferrara signed a two-year contract. He filled in at the end of the Serie A season when Claudio Ranieri was fired.

Ferrara is a former defender who worked as an assistant coach under Marcello Lippi with Italy’s national team. He left the Azzurri’s training camp Friday and headed to Turin for his introduction later in the day.
