Marlins’ Badenhop hit by liner
PHOENIX — Florida Marlins reliever Burke Badenhop was hit in the right arm by a line drive off the bat of Arizona’s Gerardo Parra and had to leave Thursday night’s game.
After the ball hit Badenhop he collapsed to the mound, where he remained for several seconds.
Badenhop was attended by the trainer and eventually walked off, favoring his left leg.
The Marlins said Badenhop suffered a left knee contusion.
Brian Sanches replaced Badenhop with the Marlins trailing 6-0 in the fifth inning.
