Pacers to re-sign F McRoberts

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Pacers plan to re-sign free agent forward Josh McRoberts.

McRoberts’ agent, Bob Myers, wrote in an e-mail to The Associated Press on Wednesday that the parties had agreed to terms in principle. Myers said it was a two-year deal, but would not give a dollar amount.

The Pacers made a qualifying offer to McRoberts last month, making him a restricted free agent. The athletic post player averaged 2.4 points and 2.2 rebounds last season. He had career highs of 12 points and nine rebounds on April 8 against Toronto.

The Pacers have until the weekend to respond to Toronto’s offer for guard Jarrett Jack, another player the Pacers made a restricted free agent with a qualifying offer.
