Correction: Bolt world record story
BERLIN — In an Aug. 16 story about Usain Bolt’s record in the 100 meters, The Associated Press misidentified the source of an estimate that Bolt could have clocked about 9.55 seconds for the 100 if he had run full out through the finish line at the Beijing Olympics. A team of four Norwegian scientists, including physicist Hans Eriksen, came to that conclusion, not a Stanford University professor.
