Berbatov warns Champions League opponents

LONDON - Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has said that last season’s UEFA Champions League final defeat against Spanish giants Barcelona will drive Man U on in Europe this season.

United were outplayed by Barcelona in the final in Rome as they lost 2-0, but this time around Berbatov has warned prospective opponents that they should fear the Red devils.

“After what happened last year, we’re even more determined in Europe. Nobody will fancy playing us,” The Sun quoted Berbatov, as saying.

“For me, losing in Rome was doubly frustrating. I wasn’t at United when the team won the previous year and I’ve never won the Champions League so losing was very upsetting,” he added. (ANI)
