Silver Reunion wins Riskaverse and Tapitsfly wins P.G. Johnson Stakes at Saratoga

Silver Reunion, Tapitsfly win at Saratoga
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Silver Reunion and Tapitsfly won the co-featured Riskaverse and P.G. Johnson Stakes on the turf courses Thursday at Saratoga Race Course.
Silver Reunion, ridden by Ramon Dominguez, led from the outset and opened a clear lead in the stretch to win the $72,708 Riskaverse for 3-year-old fillies by 3¼ lengths. The winner, trained by Graham Motion, ran a mile in 1:34.17 and paid $30.20, $12 and $8.80.
Miss Catalyst, $6.50, $4.50, finished second. Afternoon Stroll was third in the field of 10 and paid $6.30. Silver Reunion earned $43.620 for owner Brereton C. Jones, former governor of Kentucky.
Tapitsfly won the $50,074 P.G. Johnson, a race for 2-year-old fillies, by 1¼ lengths. The winner led throughout the 1 1-16 miles and held off favored Smart Seattle in a stretch duel, finishing in 1:42.08.
Tapitsfly, ridden by Robby Albarado and trained by Dale Romans, paid $6.50, $3.30 and $2.60 and earned $30,044 for owner Frank L. Jones. Smart Seattle paid $2.90 and $2.30 and Beautiful Song, third of eight, paid $3.40 to show.
