Lightning delays Central Michigan-Arizona kickoff

TUCSON, Ariz. — Lightning has delayed the kickoff of the Central Michigan-Arizona game at Arizona Stadium.

As frequent bursts lit up the sky to the southeast and northeast, Arizona officials announced that the scheduled 7:07 p.m. game would not start until 7:15 p.m. at the earliest, and possibly later.

“There has been lightning in the area. Please exit the stadium seating area and find cover,” said a message on the end-zone scoreboard.
