Holy Cross beats Georgetown 20-7
WORCESTER, Mass. — Dominic Randolph threw for 414 yards on 36 of 56 passing and Holy Cross defeated Georgetown 20-7 on Saturday.
Randolph, the 2008 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, led the Crusaders to two fourth-quarter touchdowns as they rallied past the Hoyas.
Bill Edger caught seven passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. Paul Nielsen, who had 45 yards on two receptions, caught the Crusaders’ other touchdown.
Rob Dornfried added two field goals to pull Holy Cross within 7-6 before Randolph’s touchdown passes.
Georgetown took a first-quarter lead when Keerome Lawrence caught a 33-yard pass from James Brady. Lawrence finished with 62 yards on four catches.
The Hoyas, who suffered their fourth straight season-opening loss, gave up 519 yards of total offense to the Cursaders.
