Kohli to replace injured Gambhir in Lanka tri nation series

COLOMBO - Ace Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has been asked to return home after suffering groin injury.

Delhi batsman Virat Kohli will replace Gambhir, who has been advised ten days rest.

Gambhir, has been asked to report at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for assessment and rehabilitation.

The Indian team is already without the services of two of its star players, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan, both of whom are injured.

Tamil Nadu wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik is expected to lay in the first match today.(ANI)
