Raymond scores in regulation and SO for Canucks
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Mason Raymond started Vancouver’s comeback early in the third period and finished it with the shootout winner as the Canucks remained perfect in the preseason with a 4-3 victory over San Jose on Wednesday night.
Raymond, Alexander Edler and Tanner Glass scored to help Vancouver overcome a 2-0 deficit in the third period. But San Jose’s Rob Blake scored on a power-play to tie it with 1:09 left.
After Joe Pavelski and Edler traded goals in the shootout, Raymond put Vancouver back ahead in the third round with a spinning backhand deke around Evgeni Nabokov, and Roberto Luongo sealed the win by stacking the pads on Ferriero on San Jose’s final attempt.
(This version CORRECTS APNewsNow. Canucks 4, Sharks 3, SO. SUBS 2nd graf to correct to Blake.)
