Mason scores in regulation and SO for Canucks
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Mason Raymond started Vancouver’s comeback early in the third period and finished it with the shootout winner as the Canucks remained perfect in the preseason with a 4-3 victory over San Jose on Wednesday night.
Raymond, Alexander Edler and Tanner Glass scored to help Vancouver overcome a 2-0 deficit in the third period. But Benn Ferriero scored his second goal on a power-play deflection to tie it with 1:09 left.
After Joe Pavelski and Edler traded goals in the shootout, Raymond put Vancouver back ahead in the third round with a spinning backhand deke around Evgeni Nabokov, and Roberto Luongo sealed the win by stacking the pads on Ferriero on San Jose’s final attempt.
