Sullivan leads Colgate past Fordham 20-12
HAMILTON, N.Y. — Greg Sullivan threw two touchdowns and ran for another score to lead Colgate to a 20-12 win over Fordham on Saturday night.
Sullivan, who was 12-for-19 with 189 yards passing, rushed for 109 yards on 21 carries for the Raiders (4-0, 1-0 Patriot League). Jordan McCord led Colgate with 192 yards rushing on 41 attempts.
Pat Simonds caught nine passes for 159 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown catch from Sullivan to give Colgate a 13-6 lead in the third quarter. The Rams (0-3, 0-1) cut the lead to 13-12 in the third on Darryl Whiting’s 5-yard touchdown run. The extra point was blocked.
Sullivan’s 7-yard touchdown pass to Nick Cvetic to put the Raiders ahead by eight points in the fourth quarter. Sullivan also had a 1-yard rushing score in the first half.
Fordham’s John Skelton threw for 255 yards, while Jason Caldwell had 119 yards receiving.
