Torres helps Blue Jackets top Bruins 4-2

BOSTON — Raffi Torres scored one third-period goal and then set up Nikita Filatov with the go-ahead tally Saturday night, lifting the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 4-2 preseason victory over the Boston Bruins.

With one preseason game left, the Blue Jackets rested most of their top players, including Rick Nash and goalie Steve Mason, the Calder Trophy winner as the NHL’s top rookie last season. They still rallied for their fourth straight win — two over the Bruins — to go to 4-2-1 on the preseason.

It was the preseason finale for the Bruins, who open the regular season against Washington next Thursday night — the first of five straight home games to start the season. They finished the preseason 5-2-1.
