Blues beat Stars in shootout
DALLAS — Brad Boyes scored in the second round of the shootout, and Ty Conklin stopped Stephane Robidas in the third to give the St. Louis Blues a 4-3 victory over the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night.
Brad Richards scored for Dallas in the first round, but Andy McDonald countered for St. Louis. Dallas’ Mike Ribeiro hit the goal post with his second-round attempt, and Boyes scored through Marty Turco’s pads to give the Blues the edge.
T.J. Oshie gave the Blues a 3-2 advantage with 8:59 remaining, firing a wrist shot from the right circle that beat Turco on the glove side for St. Louis’ first lead.
But Brenden Morrow tied it at 3 for Dallas on a deflection off Richards’ shot with 25.4 seconds left in regulation and Turco off for a sixth attacker.
