DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers have re-signed shortstop Adam Everett to a one-year contract.

The slick-fielding Everett hit .238 with three home runs and 44 RBIs for Detroit in 2009, his ninth season in the majors. He has compiled a .976 fielding percentage at shortstop during his career.
