LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The ESPN show “SportsCenter” managed to grab many eyeballs on Tuesday night when a prankster pretending to be Brian Westbrook was successful in getting into the show and also got interviewed by host Scott Van Pelt. It later turned out that the prankster was none other then Captain Janks from the “Howard Stern Show” with the ESPN anchor initially failing to realize that it was a prank call.

Although the ESPN anchor got all excited as he believed that the network had landed a scoop as Brian Westbrook was released from the Philadelphia Eagles that very day. However, it turned out the caller was not Brian Westbrook as he was claiming to be with the viewers left hugely surprised that the prankster was able to surpass the network’s caller filter system and got into the phone interview with the ESPN host. One of the high points of the show was when host Scott Van Pelt carried on with the interview for quite some time without even realizing that the caller was not Brian Westbrook.

Despite the fact that the prank turned out to be immensely embarrassing for ESPN, all the viewers who had tuned in to watch the episode surely had a great time owing to the goof up. Although all the fans of the much acclaimed running back emphasized that it was very evident that the caller was not the eight year old veteran running back from the Philadelphia Eagles from the way he sounded, the ESPN host definitely did not realize that it could actually be a prank.
