WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama did not make a call to Tiger Woods to offer his support to the disgraced golfer.

White House spokesman Tommy Vietor dismissed reports claiming the president spoke to Woods who drew public flak after admitting infidelity following a scandal that linked him to as many as 19 mistresses.

A Golf Digest story was said to have made the claim in a version which was later edited, the Politico reported.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for Bill Clinton, Matt McKenna, said the men spoke.

He said: “Tiger called President Clinton on another matter and President Clinton wished him well.” (ANI)
