Lamps leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid is a joke: Ancelotti

LONDON - Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed as “a joke” any suggestions Frank Lampard could quit Stamford Bridge.
According to The Sun, the England midfielder has been linked with a 30-million-pound move to Real Madrid should former Blues boss Jose Mourinho leave Inter Milan to take over at the Bernabeu.ncelotti insists there is absolutely no chance of that happening.
Asked about the possibility of Lampard leaving the Bridge, Ancelotti said: “This is a joke. Lampard will stay here. When I started here last season, there was a problem with John Terry for Manchester City.
“Every time I said, ‘No, JT will stay here’. I don’t want to have to be doing the same with Frank. He will stay. There’s no danger of him going. I know him very well and I know how he is feeling with this club, with these team-mates and how important he is for the supporters,” he added.
For his part, the Chelsea midfielder insists he loves working with Ancelotti and hailed the Italian’s impact in guiding the Blues to the Premier League and FA Cup Double in his first season.
Lampard said: “Carlo took on the language and came in without many staff from Italy. Some managers bring all their team with them and that is security for them. He has not had that. But he moulded into the Chelsea way straight away. His tactics have been spot on because we have got what we have got and he has brought entertaining football to the team.” (ANI)

I agree, Lampard to Real Madrid would absolutely never happen. Why would Chelsea even want to sell him when he runs their midfield. Also Lampard would not do well at Real Madrid because english players rarely do well outside of the EPL. |
