LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The Los Angeles Lakers fans have even more to look forward to after their sweet revenge against the Boston Celtics as the Lakers Parade has been announced on June 21. The Game 7 win by the Los Angeles Lakers saw the fans going crazy after the match and the players too celebrating in great style. The parade has been organized by the fans and the players along with their families will be starting their 2 mile journey from the Staples Centre.

The rivalry between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics has been one of the most talked about rivalries in NBA history. The victory for the Los Angeles Lakers was more special because it was against the Boston Celtics, admitted star player Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant himself was one of the key factors throughout the finals. In game 7, he finished with 23 points. He was assisted by another star Pau Gasol whose tally included 19 points and 18 rebounds. These two players are expected to be the centre of attraction during the Lakers parade 2010. Also in the limelight will be Ron Artest and Shannon Brown who played a crucial role in game 6 to drag the series to game 7.

The Lakers parade 2010 is set to begin at the Staples Centre and move south on Figueroa Street to Jefferson Boulevard. The expected crowd is around 2 million and thus the Lakers Parade has been given a two mile route to allow the fans to see their favourite players. The players and their families will be waving at the fans from atop their double decker open air buses and will be led by the Lakers Girls. The commuters have been advised to use the Metro rail to reach the venue rather than driving down to avoid traffic problems.
