England slashes football match ticket prices by up to 33 per cent

LONDON - Ticket prices have been slashed by up to 33 per cent for England’s friendly football match against Hungary next month.
Ticket sales have been slow for the match at Wembley on August 11 after the Three Lions’ flopped at the 2010 World Cup in South AFrica.
Desperate FA bosses are now offering a cut-price family ticket for two adults and two children for 60 pounds, a saving of 30 pounds from last year.
An FA spokesman insists the offer is a new initiative, and added that there were still plenty of tickets left.
A cheap ticket is the latest tactic used by the FA to try to persuade fans not to boycott the friendly.
Mark Perryman from the England Fans Supporters’ Club said: “You won’t find a fan who’d turn down a free ticket to see England at Wembley but, at 15 pounds per head, it’s a bargain. It is fair to say there is not a huge wave of support for England now.”
Some fans think the FA should be offering fans free tickets after the debacle in South Africa. (ANI)
