OAKLAND (GaeaTimes.com)- The exhibition clash on Saturday between the Oakland Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers gave the hosts some big concerns as quarterback Jason Campbell was seen getting badly injured and carted off the field. In spite of the 28-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the hot topic for everyone was the injury to Jason Campbell as the NFL season is less than a month away and an injury to a quarterback like Jason Campbell could be disastrous for the side.

Jason Campbell started the game quite well and already had 4 passes against the San Francisco 49ers. The injury occurred in an unexpected manner as Jason Campbell was seen writhing with pain on the ground after one of the sacks. The concern of the audience and the team members increased when he was seen walking in extreme pain towards the cart that took him off the field. His team mates said that he got something called a ’stinger’. Replays showed him landing hard on his shoulders and then rolling over in pain.

Jason Campbell spoke to the media and said that it was hurting less that at the time of the injury. He assured that all he will be fit for the upcoming season. His confidence was echoed by his coach who said that he was expecting Jason Campbell to play for the opener on September 12. He added that the injury does not seem serious at this point of time. Bruce Gradkowski made an appearance for the first time in the preseason for the Oakland Raiders as a replacement for Jason Campbell.
