LONDON(GaeaTimes.com) — With the first day of this years UEFA Champions League being over, we got to see some great performances from the participating teams. Here are the results of the games that took place in the first day.

Group A:

• Werder Bremen 2-2 Spurs

Group B:

• Benfica 2-0 Hapoel Tel Aviv
• Lyon 1-0 Schalke

Group C:

• Bursaspor 0-4 Valencia
• Manchester United 0-0 Rangers

Group D:

• Barcelona 5-1 Panathinaikos
• Copenhagen 1-0 Rubin Kazan

All in all, an interesting first day out. Aside from the margin of the Valencia win, no huge surprises were in store for us.
