Mohinder Amarnath, Shastri join IPL Governing Council

NEW DELHI - Former India Test cricketer Mohinder Amarnath has been named member of the Governing Council (GC) of India Premier League (IPL).

In the re-constituted IPL GC, Sunil Gavaskar was not included and Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi reportedly excused himself from the assignment.

“Mohinder Amarnath has been inducted into the IPL Governing Council. He and Ravi Shastri will be the two international cricketers in the GC. The term of the same will be one year,” N.Srinivasan, Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) secretary, said in a statement.
