NEW YORK - It seems that Olympics champ Michael Phelps is getting serious about golf.

At Abe and Arthur’s, he was overheard challenging LPGA sensation Cristie Kerr to a game and confidently laying “down a wager that the losing party would make a personal appearance for or make a donation to the winner’s charity of choice,” the New York Post reports.

The world-beating swimmer had not taken up golf until after the 2008 Beijing Games.

Also present at the Meatpacking District restaurant’s one-year anniversary bash were Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson. (ANI)
