DUBAI - Admitting for the first time about the Zulqarnain Haider drama, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that they knew that the wicketkeeper had gone missing before leaving for the match.

Team Manager Intikhab Alam acknowledged that he knew that Zulqarnain had gone missing before leaving for the stadium, and had reported the incident to the Dubai Police, Geo Sports reported.

The police then informed Intikhab that the cricketer had left for England, and according to CCTV footage, the wicketkeeper had left the hotel at 06:55am.

Earlier, the team management had expressed complete ignorance about the cricketer missing and resurfacing in London.

Zulqarnain had quietly slipped out of the Grand Hyatt in Dubai on Monday morning and boarded a London-bound flight. The player had not even discussed his plans with any of his team officials or fellow teammates. (ANI)
