Qatar to host 2022 FIFA World Cup

ZURICH - Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup, FIFA’s executive committee voted Thursday.

The decision was announced in Zurich by Joseph Blatter, the president of football’s world governing body.

Qatar won the vote ahead of Australia, the US, South Korea and Japan.
