PERTH - England may be keeping its cards close to its chest and not revealing which of its three reserve fast bowlers will replace injured Stuart Broad in the third Ashes Test to be played in Perth from Thursday, but one of them - Chris Tremlett-insists that he is armed and ready.

“We haven’t been told yet and I’m not sure I will know right up until the morning of the game. I’ve waited a long time to play again for England so I’m chomping at the bit to make it, but I’m sure the same is true for Tim Bresnan and Ajmal Shahzad,” the Daily mail quoted Tremlett, as saying.

“I feel now I have all the attributes to be an England Test bowler. There would not be a better place to return than the WACA. It’s a wicket that’s renowned for being fast and bouncy and it looks pretty green out there at the moment, so I guess if there’s any wicket in the world that should suit me, it’s this one,” he added.

“I’m feeling good and I’m good to go,” Tremlett said.

He also said that he was more than pleased with how he had bowled against Australia ‘A’ and Victoria, especially when the pitches in both places - Hobart and Melbourne - offered nothing to the bowlers.

“I’ve definitely improved and matured as a bowler. I’ve become a lot fitter and more consistent in my performances. I bowl better areas and at a better pace, which I think comes with trusting my body to be able to withstand the demands of top-level cricket,” Tremlett said.(ANI)
