NEW DELHI - India’s off-spinner Harbhajan Singh Wednesday warned the opponents in the upcoming World Cup that Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag would take the game away if they see the first 15 overs through.

“Both are outstanding players and if they play the first 15 overs, the other teams will be in danger,” said Harbhajan.

He said India have a balanced squad and have a variety in spin.

“It is great to have a lot of options in the team. We have got different types of spinners. We have left-arm spinner Ravichandran Ashwin who performed well in the IPL. Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla brings variation in the attack,” he noted, speaking on the sidelines of a promotional event.

“We have got good batsmen and we can chase any target. I am sure if we work hard, stay focused, we will do well.”

“I am glad that we have got a team who can compete against any opponent. I have always believed that if we play to our potential we can beat any team,” Harbhajan said.

Asked about his memories of the 1983 World Cup, Harbhajan said: “We have seen it on TV, the pictures of Kapil Paaji lifting the World Cup. I get goosebumps. Holding a trophy and winning the cup is something special.”

“I thank everyone who are supporting us. With their wishes and support, hopefully we will do well.”
