Gloucestshire rope in Lankan spinner Murali for Twenty20 cricket

BRISTOL - Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan will play Twenty20 cricket for Gloucestershire.

According to The Sun, Murali will play for the English county till 2013.

“I am really looking forward to playing for Gloucestershire. It is a young exciting team and I hope I can add some experience to the mix.The last time I played at Bristol I took five wickets and I look forward to an exciting T20 competition with the Gladiators,” he was quoted, as saying

Murailtharan, who retired from Test cricket last year after grabbing 800 Test wickets and 519 one-day international wickets, has said that he will be retiring from international duty after the World Cup.

He will join Glocestshire from April this year. (ANI)
