DHAKA - Pakistan batsman Younis Khan is hopeful that the successful tour of New Zealand will mark a turning point in the fortunes of his team ahead of the World Cup.

Before the tour to New Zealand, where Pakistan won the Test series 1-0 and the one-day series 3-2, they had not won a Test series since 2006 and a one-day series since 2008.

“Our preparation is very nice, you know we just win the series against New Zealand in New Zealand. We have a good team, we have a good chance to reach the semi-finals, so I think we are in a good mood at the moment,” Khan said.

Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign against Kenya on February 23. (ANI)
