NAGPUR - First prayers and now a song composition, enthusiasts of cricket in India are doing anything to wish good luck to their heroes.

Fans of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar have composed a song to wish him good luck for the World Cup 2011, which they recited at the Tekri Ganesh temple in Nagpur on Friday.

Umakant Agnihotri, an ardent fan of Sachin said: “Only Sachin Tendulkar can make India win the World Cup. But he gets his powers from this very temple, where we are singing prayers in the temple of lord Ganesha.”

” He gets his energy to hit fours and sixes and score a century and therefore tease the bowlers from this temple of Nagpur. From the last 21 years, he has been secretly coming here and seeking divine blessings of lord Ganesha.”

Fans across the country have been praying for India’s victory in the tournament, which began today in Dhaka with a match between co- hosts India and Bangladesh. (ANI)
