MUMBAI - Indian batting star Sachin Tendulkar underwent a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan on his left knee here on Monday, but described it as a routine medical check.

“The MRI scan is clear. There is no problem,” hospital sources said. They added that it was done as a precautionary measure after Tendulkar complained of discomfort in the knee.

Tendulkar, 37, will fly to Bangalore this evening to join the rest of the squad ahead of their Group B clash against England on February 27.

The opening batsman is the leading run-getter in both Test (14,692) and one-dayers (17,657). (ANI)
