Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand players clash in netball match

RANCHI - Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh players clashed during a netball match of the 34th National Games, an official said Tuesday.

The netball match was played in the coal city of Dhanbad at Indian School of Mines ground. The incident was triggered off when an Andhra Pradesh player allegedly hit a Jharkhand player during a dispute over a point. The scuffle turned ugly and the players of both teams were involved in a clash.

The players were calmed down by the referee and others. The game was postponed.

In another incident during a cultural programme Monday night, Sameer Mon, a sprinter, allegedly scuffled with another athlete in the sports complex at Ranchi.
