BANGALORE - England fast bowler Stuart Broad has said that Kevin Pietersen will be the key man for his team during Sunday’s World Cup Group B match against India in Bangalore.

Pietersen has spent three years playing for Bangalore Royal Challengers in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

“KP will be crucial for us here at Bangalore. He will be targeting the first 10 overs to make a real impact,” the Daily Express quoted Broad, as saying.

“Andrew Strauss looks in form from the Netherlands game and we bat around Jonathan Trott scoring at a run a ball. So, KP will be targeting the boundaries early. The whole occasion will be fantastic and it will be a great experience for all the players involved,” he added.

Pietersen’s last century in ODIs was back in November 2008 at Cuttack, also against India. (ANI)
