7ganguly6621225Sourav Ganguly, the most successful Indian Captain, on the eve of his 37th Birthday, eyes on to play a second innings as the BCCI President in 2014.

Ganguly the most successful skipper of Indian cricket and the “GOD of offside” stepped into his year number 37 today. This is a day to celebrate for the Dada Fans, “Dada” as Sourav Ganguly popularly known as.

But Sourav made a more important resolution this birthday. 2014 is the year when a candidate from East zone would be projected for the Top notch post of the richest cricketing association. Sourav is eyeing it.

“I am convinced that I can play a positive role,” Sourav told TOI in course of an exclusive interview at his Behala residence. “Having played the game at the highest level and being part of the system, I know what it takes to make a difference,” he added.

While talking Sourav seemed to have the same glitter on his face as we have seen nine years back when he was appointed as the Indian Captain. Now the biggest controversy lies whether he would be projected from Bengal or not, since of late he doesn’t bear a fair relation with the current CAB supremo, Jagmohan Dalmia. Mr. Dalmia may also want to test his luck for a second time in 2014.

It has been heard that Dalmia’s  rivals are trying to convince Sourav to fight in the next CAB elections for them, in order to make his path smoother for being a strong contender for the post of BCCI President.

But what exactly the Prince of Kolkata will decide and what are the dramas still awaited for us to see, only the time will unfold.
