Lions’ DT Jackson practices

ALLEN PARK, Mich. — The Detroit Lions welcomed defensive tackle Grady Jackson to practice Tuesday. The 12-year veteran missed the first three days of training camp with an unspecified illness.

Detroit signed the 345-pound Jackson after he started 14 games last season for Atlanta.

Rookie tight end Brandon Pettigrew, the 20th pick in April’s NFL draft, missed his second straight day of practice with a thigh injury.
