MLS season down to the wire

After seven months of jockeying, the Major League Soccer season has come down to one wild weekend.

Columbus, Houston, Los Angeles, Chivas USA and Seattle have already made the playoffs. New York, San Jose and Kansas City are out.

After that, the MLS playoff scenarios get complicated real fast: seven teams, three playoff spots, eight games that could lead to more than 50 different scenarios.

Much of what happens this weekend will depend on Chicago.

If the Fire beat Chivas USA, they’re in. Lose and Chicago opens the door for the potential of six teams tying for two playoff spots.

Stay tuned while they sort it out.
