GUWAHATI - Team India lost the sixth one-day international against Australia by six wickets here on Sunday giving the visitors an unbeatable 4-2 lead with a match to spare.

Opting to bat first, the men in blue were bowled out for a paltry 170 in the crucial match at the Nehru stadium.

Team India had slumped to 75-7 in the 31st over as man-of-the-match Australian left-armer Doug Bollinger and Mitchell Johnson ran through the top order taking five and three wickets respectively.

Bollinger, who followed his impressive spell at Mohali with another spectacular four-wicket haul, finished with career best figures of 5/35.

All-rounder Ravidra Jadeja (57 runs) and fast bowler Praveen Kumar (54 not out) helped the team reach a respectable score, adding 74 vital runs for the eighth wicket.

Chasing 171, Australian team achieved the target with eight overs to spare as opener Shane Watson top scored with 49 runs and left-hand batsman Mike Hussey continued his excellent form with an unbeaten 35.

The series win is a tremendous result for the Australian side after losing more than half of their regular players, including Brett Lee, Peter Siddle, James Hopes, Tim Paine and Moises Henriques to injuries.

With the seven-match series already decided, both teams will now head for Mumbai for the last match on November 11 (ANI)
