MELBOURNE - Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne, Italian automaker Lamborghini’s first ambassador in the country, has picked up a Lamborghini Murcielago on a long-term loan car as part of his contract.

Warnie was seen giving the 850,000-dollar Murcielago a rev-up outside his mansion in Brighton, Melbourne.

Meanwhile, Lamborghini’s Victorian sales director Tom Dowd said that people can soon expect to see Warnie taking the latest limited edition Murcielago, priced about one million dollar, for a spin.

It’s not Warne’s first Lamborghini, as the ‘king of spin’ already has a Gallardo Superleggera in a collection that includes a pair of Mercedes four-wheel-drives, a Ferrari 360, two BMWs and a Holden VK Commodore.

Other ambassadors have included Nicolas Cage, David Beckham and Frank Sinatra, who famously said: “If you want to be someone, you buy a Ferrari. If you are someone, you own a Lamborghini.” (ANI)
