MOHALI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- All the fans of the Rajasthan Royals were in for a huge treat on Wednesday when the team defeated Kings XI Punjab in the IPL match which was held at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali. In order top emerge victorious, the Shilpa Shetty owned team registered a win against the Punjab team by 31 runs. This was the second victory for the Rajasthan Royals after they were successful in beating Kolkata Knight Riders in the last showdown.

In the RR vs. KXIP match, the Rajasthan Royals managed to score 183 runs after losing five wickets in twenty overs. It was indeed a team effort by the Rajasthan Royals with a number of players contributing significantly, which enabled the team to reach the challenging score with Faiz Fazal scoring 45 runs, Michael Lumb contributing 41 and Adam Voges adding 45 runs to the scoreboard and remaining not out. Moreover, it was not only the batting skills of the Rajasthan Royals that turned out to be impressive as when the team’s bowlers took charge, the Kings XI Punjab could not do much. In the RR vs. KXIP match, the home team was all out after scoring only 152 runs in 19.1 overs owing to the amazing performance showcased by the bowlers of the visiting team.

Although the Kings XI Punjab began their battling line up with confidence due to performances by Kumar Sangakkara and Manvinder Bisla, the team soon crumbled after the dismissal of the two players. The defeat marked the fourth loss for the Kings XI Punjab, which has now plunged at the bottom of the points table.
