HYDERABAD, India (GaeaTimes.com)- There seems to be no end to the troubles in the life of Sania Mirza and her husband Shoaib Malik. Ever since the couple decided to tie the knot earlier this month they have been surrounded by controversies from all corners. The marriage now over, there is still no respite for the sporty couple. After their reception in Hyderabad, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik were supposed to move to Pakistan for their second reception in the neighboring country. However, the hitch now is that the cricketer’s passport has been seized by the Indian government.

The reception of Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik was slated to take place on the 25th of this month in the city of Lahore in Pakistan. However, considering that Shoaib Malik has still not been given his passport which is now lying with the Indian authorities in Hyderabad, doubts have surfaced as to when their Pakistan reception will take place.

The Sania Mirza - Shoaib Malik wedding took place on the 12th of this month, and the Indian reception on April 15th in Hyderabad. Pakistan is eagerly waiting to invite the celebrity couple to the country, but with Shoaib Malik’s passport being held by the Indian authorities it seems that the Pakistanis will have to wait a little longer.

According to the reports circulating in the media, Pakistan Sports Minister Ijaz Hussain Jakhrani has requested M.S. Gill, his counterpart in India to look into the matter and to quicken the process of returning his passport to the Pakistan cricketer. While Shoaib Malik is waiting for his passport to be released by the Indian police, Sania Mirza has already been issued a visa for her travel to Pakistan.
