ROLAND GARROS, FRANCE (GaeaTimes.com)- The latest news from the French Open 2010 stands says that the Williams sisters are leading from the front in the game. While Serena Williams is ranked top seed in this year’s women’s list of the French Open, sister Venus Williams is at the second position. So the fans may well prepare to see a showdown between the two sisters in the finals of the game. However organizers still have their hopes pinned on Justine Henin since Serena Williams has not won the title since 2002, that year being the first and the last time she played in the finals. Venus Williams too has never crossed the fourth round in any year’s French Open title.

On the other hand among the men competing for the French Open 2010, it seems Andy Murray will fall short of expectations of the spectators. Though the player says that clay is his chosen surface to play on, his performance has been far short of good this year. Andy Murray will be pitched against Richard Gasquet in a forthcoming game and Boris Becker has commented that clay is definitely not the surface on which Andy Murray can deliver his best.

With Andy Murray being given the miss who is likely to draw the interest of analysts in the French Open 2010? Most feel that it is Rafael Nadal to look out for this year although last year had been the first appearance of the tennis star on the clay courts of Paris. Rafael Nadal has been in good form for the past couple of months but will be given stiff competition from strong contender Roger Federer, feel analysts.
