LAHORE - Pakistan all-rounders Shahid Afridi and Abdul Razzaq are reportedly attracting a lot of interest from domestic Twenty20 teams in New Zealand.

The Pakistani interest in last season’s New Zealand Twenty20 Competition, which started in 2005, was represented by all-rounder Yasir Arafat playing for the Otago Volts.

According to PakPassion.net, Pakistani participation in the forthcoming competition could be expanded, as Canterbury Wizards and Wellington Firebirds are interested in signing Afridi and Razzaq.

In the domestic Twenty20 format, Afridi has also represented the likes of the Deccan Chargers and South Australia, while Razzaq had also enjoyed a successful stint in the Indian Cricket League (ICL).

The New Zealand Twenty20 competition for season 2010-11 will be played in December. (ANI)
