JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA (GaeaTimes.com)- USA will take on England tonight in what is a highly anticipated and totally obvious game. The fans of both the teams know that the rivalry goes much beyond soccer. Though the diplomatic relations between the two nations has improved since the Revolutionary War, the diplomats from both the nations have engaged in a friendly wager. A leaked exchange of emails became a hot search on the web after the very formal wager was set with hints of mockery and friendliness between the American Diplomat from London and British Diplomat from Washington DC.

The soccer fans in America will get to see the World Cup game on a number of networks. USA though will look back to one of the greatest upsets in World Cup history when they defeated England in 1950. The present line-up of USA is much better than what it was back then, but England is a force to reckon with in world soccer.

The game on the field holds no big surprises for USA with most responsibility lying on the shoulders of Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey, the two forwards. Landon Donovan will be up against England’s famous defender Ashley Cole. England suffered recently from the injury of Rio Ferdinand, their captain, due to an injury. The player to look out for England in the game and the tournament will be Wayne Rooney who was recently in the news for being asked to keep his temper down. The man who has a reputation as a bulldozer will surely want a great start to the England’s World Cup campaign. This Group C clash, if won by England will help them dominate the group from the very beginning.
