FIFA WC: Facebook messages indicate mixed reaction to services in S. Africa

JOHANNESBURG - A commentary on the social networking site Facebook has revealed that services being provided to guests and fans watching the FIFA World Cup has got a mixed reaction.

News24.com quoted Steve Schwarzbach, a student from York University in Canada, as describing the service in the country as “crappy”.

American tourist Jay Hunter said he hated the loud noise at the Johannesburg hotel he was staying in and the “bad” staff service.

SiviPanda said the country’s streets were too littered and she felt “awkward” using toilets at World Cup stadiums.

Another Facebooker described the country as “soulful” and “appetising”.

Comments were also streaming into another popular social site Twitter. (ANI)
