Robben and Sneijder send Dutch through to quarters

DURBAN - The Netherlands booked their place in the quarterfinals with a 2-1 win over Slovakia in the World Cup football at the Durban Stadium on Monday.

Arjen Robben marked his first start in the tournament by scoring the first in the 18 minutes and Wesley Sneijder put the result beyond doubt six minutes from time.

In injury time Martin Jakubo was brought down by Stekelenburg and Robert Vittek scored the penalty.

The Dutch will now play their quarter-final against Brazil or Chile Friday in Port Elizabeth.
