LONDON - Australian coach Tim Nielsen has said there was no point moaning about limited preparation time for the Test series against Pakistan.

Australia will play a two-day tour match against Derbyshire before next week’s opening Test at Lord’s against Pakistan.

“It is going to have to (be enough time), that is the modern world we live in and we have got what we have got,” The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Nielsen, as saying.

“We just have to make sure that we change our mindsets and adapt our game styles as quickly as we can over these two days to get ready for four-day … I mean five-day cricket,” he added.

Test regulars Ben Hilfenhaus, Marcus North and Simon Katich have spent the best part of the past week training in Nottingham as Australia’s Twenty20 side lost their two-match series 2-0 to Pakistan in Birmingham.

Nielsen was confident about Hilfenhaus making a comeback after the niggling knee complaint that had kept him off the playing field for six months.

“We hope things go well and he gets a couple of Test matches under his belt before we go to India and get as much cricket out of his body as we can before the Ashes in Australia later this year,” he added. (ANI)
