CARSON (GaeaTimes.com)- If you are fit then the Home Depot Center in Carson is your destination. At least that is what the organizers of CrossFit have to say. CrossFit is an annual athletic gaming event which is held in California every year and is the meeting place of the fittest humans on the planet fighting their guts out to win the titles of the ‘World’s Fittest Man’ and the ‘World’s Fittest Woman’.

This year celebrates the fourth year of the athletic meet. While the finals of the CrossFit Games for the last three years were held at The Ranch in Aromas in north California, this year it is scheduled to take place at Carson, a city in the Los Angeles County of California. The organizers are of the opinion that because of the increased volume of competitors in this year’s CrossFit event, they were forced to change the location in order to accommodate more people. Hence the choice of the Home Depot Center in Carson.

The athletes participating in the CrossFit athletic meet have to qualify in the 30 sectional and 13 regional events that are held every year. Some of the finalists this year were however taken from the top five contestants of the previous three years. The organizers of the meet this year say that the qualifying events that were conducted this year were more difficult when compared to the other years, primarily because of the fact that CrossFit has become a very popular event in California and is witnessing an increasing number of participants with each passing year. The finals of the CrossFit games 2010 will take place for three days to be concluded this Sunday.
