Rich Cho: Portland Trail Blazers’ New GM

PORTLAND (GaeaTimes.com)- Rich Cho has been hired as the general manager of the Portland Trail Blazers, the team announced on Monday. 44-year-old Rich Cho takes the position of Kevin Pritchard, who played a pivotal role in taking the team out of the Jail Blazers era but was dismissed from his position last month. Although it has been confirmed that Rich Cho would be assuming the responsibilities of the team, he was not the only choice who was considered by the Portland Trail Blazers. According to reports, apart from the 44-year-old, the Blazers also considered Danny Ferry who is known to have been the general manager of the Cleveland as well as the former Miami general manager Randy Pfund.

Nevertheless, ultimately the team decided upon Rich Cho, who would be taking up the duties of the general manager of the team from now on. However,the terms of the deal that the former Oklahoma City Thunder assistant manager has signed with the Portland Trail Blazers has not been revealed to the media. While introducing the new general manager of the team, owner Paul Allen said in a statement that Rich Cho joins Portland Trail Blazers as one of the GM of the new generations in the National Basketball Association. Moreover, the Blazers went to add that his skills and leadership qualities is going to be critical in contributing to the success story of the organization.

Rich Cho has been associated with the Oklahoma City Thunder for nine seasons and was responsible for taking care of the salary caps, contract negotiations, constructing deals, addressing player’s personal issue, among others.
